Two young girls, 18 and 19 years-old, died at the scene of a deadly car crash late last month. Police investigators now say that they believe the 19 year-old driver was texting at the time.
The girl’s car began to drift to the right on Old Lincoln Highway when she over-corrected and drove into the next lane. She collided head-on with an airport shuttle van.
Investigators say the driver made a phone call at 11:10pm and sent a text message at 11:11pm. The crash took place just before 11:15 that night. They found alcohol in the vehicle, but police say that toxicology reports found no traces in their systems.
A 53 year-old man died in a truck explosion in Idaho. The man was getting fuel from a friend’s vehicle, when the vehicle exploded suddenly. The friend was unharmed, but the 53 year-old man was killed instantly.
Another explosion occurred when a 49 year-old man’s truck caught fire after losing power. The truck was severely damaged and was on fire for over two hours. Fortunately, the man was not harmed.

A 73-year-old woman who was at her home on Saturday night was killed when an SUV crashed through the wall.
The 50-year-old driver of the SUV was heading westbound on East Army Post Road around 5pm when he lost control of the vehicle and it ran off the road. The vehicle crashed through the backyard, a pair of sliding glass doors, and out the other side of the home to the front yard.
The driver was charged with vehicular homicide for his reckless driving. Other witnesses out on the road say that they had seen the man driving erratically just before the crash.
Our deepest condolences go out to the victim and her loved ones.
