Business and Commercial Litigation: While the Firm has a long history of representing individuals, it is also routinely chosen by many corporations facing complex corporate and business litigation. For example, the Firm handled the AgriPro litigation, which resulted in a multi-million dollar jury verdict for thirteen closely held seed farm businesses located in five Midwestern states which sued a subsidiary (AgriPro, Inc.) of Royal Dutch Shell, then the largest corporation in the world for breach of contract and business fraud. The Firm was also successful in obtaining a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction on behalf of Barilla America, Inc., the largest producer and market leader of pasta products in the United States and subsidiary to Barilla International, S.P.A., the world's leading pasta producer, so as to protect the trade secrets that have made Barilla the international leader in pasta production and quality. The Firm obtained a preliminary injunction on behalf of Bekenton USA, Inc., which enjoined the State of Iowa from the de-listing of its tobacco products as a result of a dispute over payments in the Tobacco Class Action Master Settlement Agreement.
