Our community involvement

• In 2006, George A. LaMarca and Gregory W. Landry received the prestigious Public Justice Award from the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association for their successful class action lawsuit to end unjust billing practices of hospitals and other health care providers.
• The attorney members at LaMarca & Landry, P.C. are actively involved in legal education. George A. LaMarca, Gregory W. Landry, and Gary G. Mattson have been invited lecturers on trial tactics and litigation subjects at over 80 CLE accredited seminars and programs providing accredited continuing legal education for lawyers, legal assistants, and legal investigators.
• Mr. Landry is a teaching member of the C. Edwin Moore Inns of Court, which is an approved continuing legal education mentoring program which instructs young attorneys in professionalism, ethics and courtroom skills. Mr. LaMarca has served as an associate professor teaching trial advocacy at Drake University School of Law and continues to be an invited pro bono guest lecturer.

Our commitment to education

• The Firm has been involved in the "real world" education and mentoring of over 40 Drake and Iowa law school students participating in the Firm's law clerk program.
• We have served as an approved sponsor of required legal internships for Des Moines Area Community College and act as active judges and coaches in "Moot Court" and "Mock Trial" programs.
