American Board of Trial Advocates
The preservation of the civil jury trial, "Justice by the People," is the primary purpose of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). By seeking attorneys who display skill, civility and integrity, and by helping attorneys achieve higher levels of trial advocacy, ABOTA helps to preserve one of the most important safeguards provided by the Constitution, the right to trial by a jury of peers.
ABOTA requires substantial jury trial and overall litigation experience, as well as a vote by both plaintiff and defense attorneys from the local chapter.
George A. LaMarca and Gregory W. Landry hold the rank of Advocate in ABOTA. George A. LaMarca served as President of the Iowa Chapter in 2006 and 2007. He has also been published in the ABOTA professional journal, "Voir Dire."
American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA)
The American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys was formed in 1972 to bring together those lawyers throughout the United States who both prosecute and defend negligence claims against professionals, such as doctors, lawyers and accountants. As a result of their trial experience, continuing education and examinations for certification in medical malpractice cases, both George A. LaMarca and Gregory W. Landry have been certified in Medical Malpractice by the ABPLA for over 15 years.
International Network of Boutique Law Firms (INBLF)
In April of 2006, LaMarca & Landry, P.C. was selected to become a member firm in the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (INBLF). LaMarca & Landry, P.C. was recognized for its experience and dedication to practice primarily in the area of Civil Litigation/Trial Law. LaMarca & Landry, P.C. is the only INBLF member firm in the field of Civil Litigation/Trial Law in the State of Iowa.

Very few attorneys in Iowa have met the requirements for membership to this organization.
American College of Legal Medicine
The American College of Legal Medicine was founded in 1960 as a professional education network for professionals in the legal and medical field. Members of the College include physicians, attorneys and scientists who serve in various healthcare and legal professions. The members of this prestigious organization achieve an interdisciplinary cooperation and understanding, enabling them to provide more excellent medical and legal services.
