George A. LaMarca was born June 21, 1945, in Rockford , Illinois . He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Drake University School of Law in 1970. He is admitted to practice in Iowa and Florida, all U.S. District Court in Iowa, the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals (Eighth Circuit), U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Claims Court (Florida), and the U.S. Court of Appeals (Eleventh Circuit). He is a member of the Iowa , Florida , and American Bar Association (Sections on: Litigation, Tort, and Insurance Practice). Mr. LaMarca has been a very active member of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association for over 25 years (President, 1995-1996; President-Elect, 1994-1995; Vice President, 1992-1994; Secretary, 1991-1992; Parliamentarian, 1990-1991; Board of Governors, 1979-1983, 1987-1991). He served as an officer for six years prior to his election as president in 1995. In 1989, he was selected as the ITLA's Outstanding Member of the Year.) He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, the Academy of Trial Lawyers , the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers . In 2006, Mr. LaMarca was elected president of the Iowa Chapter of the American board of Trial Advocates. Mr. LaMarca is practicing primarily in Corporation and Business Litigation, Professional Malpractice and Personal Injury Law.
